Antitrust wants Russia-Belarus roaming prices close to home region
MOSCOW, Sep 21 (PRIME) -- The price of calls in roaming between Russia and Belarus may reach the price of connection in a home region, Deputy Director of Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service Anatoly Golomolzin told reporters on Friday.
The countries’ authorities, including the antitrust services, agreed to form a working group to discuss ways to improve the situation with roaming between the two countries and provision of international connection services on the whole, Golomolzin said.
“Certainly, from our part, we’d like to see minimum differences in prices of a home region and a region of presence, when our citizens travel to other countries or call to other cities or abroad. We should cut down these differences,” he said, adding that the countries will talk about these matters during two to three months.
